Play’n’Learn refreshed Te Kōhanga Reo o Nga Pihi O Te Purapura Pai with custom furniture, defined learning zones, and culturally aligned design elements to improve flow, supervision, and tamariki-led exploration.
Kids House – Papakura, Kids House - Papakura
Kids House Papakura partnered with Play’n’Learn for a complete new-centre fitout, covering all furniture, educational resources, storage, and outdoor EverPlay moveable play equipment. The goal was a cohesive environment that balanced durability, calm aesthetics, and practical daily use for teachers and children.
Indoor fitout highlights included:
-
Open shelving and structured storage to support independent resource access
-
Curved tables and neutral finishes to soften the space and reduce visual clutter
-
Clear sightlines across learning areas for better supervision and flow
Infant and quiet spaces were designed around:
-
Calm, contained layouts with defined carpeted zones
-
Soft seating nooks to support rest, reading, and small-group connection
-
Low cabinetry and wall storage to maximise usable floor space
Outdoors, the centre was supplied with Play’n’Learn’s EverPlay moveable range to support flexible daily play setups and progressive gross motor challenge. The moveable approach allows the centre to reconfigure its outdoor environment as needed, without reliance on fixed playground structures.
The result is a consistent, well-resolved fitout where furniture, resources, and play systems work together as one integrated environment.
