Barnardo’s Porirua Early Learning Centre is a safe, diverse and welcoming centre where quality early learning and our tamariki are at the heart of what they do. When the Barnardo’s Porirua kaiako contacted Play’n’Learn, they were in need of an environment refurbishment to improve the learning experience for tamariki and develop a sense of place for teachers, families, and children. The kaiako at Barnardos Porirua were looking to improve the way the learning environments inspired and stimulated tamariki with play-based experiences. After meeting with the kaiako team, our lead consultant Darren Witty, developed a brief for the refurbishment. Our vision for Barnardo’s Porirua Early Learning Centre was to design and deliver an environment where children can learn at their own pace with furniture that envelops an atmosphere of calm and quality.
