Wild and Love Early Learning Village, Auckland
Wild + Love Early Learning Village and Play’n’Learn partnered to design and create wonder-filled environments, designed through a Te Ao Māori lens; principally Akiaki te Tī o Te Tangata – Nurture the indescribable light within a person.
Play’n’Learn’s brief was to develop interior learning environments that portrayed Wild + Love’s vision for Living Spaces inspired by Home + Nature with a variety of sensory-rich experiences.
Completed in May 2021, Wild + Love Early Learning Village’s learning environments have been designed to reflect the comfort, cosiness and familiarity of living spaces in a home. We have incorporated the principles of biophilic design – the design of nature – to bring the spaces to life. From the flooding of natural light and the co-habitation with living plants, to the use of earthy materials, everything has been designed to optimise the wellbeing of the children and adults who spend their time in the space every day.
