Toddler Spaceline Sleep Bed – Grey

The Toddler Spaceline Sleep Bed provides a comfortable, space-saving sleep solution for early learning environments. Designed to support NZ centre-based ECE sleep requirements, including PF124 safe sleep furniture, PF125 non-porous sleep surfaces and bedding, and HS101 hygienic storage when used with the correct waterproof fitted sheet and stored appropriately.

These beds can be used in a separate sleep room, but are also ideal for toddler classrooms where sleep beds are set out for nap time and packed away again afterwards. They are especially useful when transitioning younger children out of cots and onto stretchers when they are ready.

Lightweight and easy to move, Spaceline beds stack neatly when not in use, helping centres make better use of limited sleep room, classroom, and storage space. Spaceline beds stack to around half the height of many standard stretcher beds, allowing more beds to be stored on the Spaceline Bed Carrier without the stack becoming unstable (up to x20).

Made with strong Sof-Tex fabric and a solid metal frame, the Toddler Spaceline Sleep Bed is designed for daily use in busy ECE settings. The pre-tensioned ends help prevent sagging, while the low-profile design is practical for toddlers.

Required waterproof layer
NZ early learning sleep requirements mean shared stretchers must be made from, or securely covered with, a non-porous material. We recommend every Toddler Spaceline Sleep Bed is used with a Waterproof Fitted Sheet – Toddler to help protect the sleep surface and support hygiene requirements.

Most centres allow at least one waterproof fitted sheet per bed, plus spares for accidents and daily changes.

For everyday use, we recommend pairing each bed with individual child bedding that is changed or stored separately between children.

These sleeping bags include an elasticated base that fits around the stretcher legs, helping the bedding stay tensioned and comfortable without bunching underneath the child. The top blanket is stitched across the feet and part-way up one side, helping prevent it from being kicked off during sleep and making bed setup easier for teachers.

Storage cover
When sleep beds are not in use, they need to be stored hygienically and protected from classroom spills, dust, mess, and handling.

Centres often manage this by storing beds in a separate sleep room, moving stacked beds on a Spaceline Bed Carrier, placing them in a cupboard or storage room, or covering the stacked beds with a waterproof storage cover.
