Weighted Ankle Bands (2pcs)
$69.95 $34.95 + GST
Promote muscle strength, stability or calming sensation for children with sensory disorders when using these weighted ankle bands. They wrap securely around the ankles and can be worn during other group activities to facilitate learning whilst remaining calm and less anxious.
Size: (LxW) 32 x 5cm
**Please note: We do not recommend the use of weighted sensory toys for children under two years of age due to the risk of SIDS.
Consider the Weight: One of the key factors to consider when choosing a weighted toy is the appropriate weight for your child. The weight of the toy should be a percentage of your child’s body weight. As a general guideline, a weighted toy should be around 10% of their body weight. For example, if your child weighs 20 kilograms, a 2-kilogram weighted toy would be suitable.
It is important not to choose a toy that is too heavy, as it may cause discomfort or strain on their muscles. On the other hand, a toy that is too light may not provide the desired calming effect. Finding the right balance is essential.
