Kitset Cave Retreat

The Kitset Cave Retreat creates a cosy, semi-enclosed space where children can relax, read, imagine and enjoy quieter moments within the learning environment.

Designed to provide a sense of enclosure without completely closing children off from the surrounding space, the Cave Retreat is ideal for book areas, quiet spaces, dramatic play and small-group experiences. The large entrance keeps the retreat open and inviting, while the circular side windows allow children to see and interact with what is happening around them, and improves supervision for teachers.

Comes flat-packed, requires assembly.

Usage Ideas

• Retreat Space – Add cushions and drape over fabric, leaves, or ivy to create a peaceful hideaway for reading, self-regulation, or independent quiet time.

• Sensory Den – Hang textured panels, ribbon curtains, or fairy lights from the upper rail to support sensory exploration and calming visual input.

Play’n’Learn Premium Collection furniture uses a durable plywood surface designed for busy early learning environments. From art materials to food spills and everyday marks, the surface can be cleaned repeatedly with suitable cleaning products to help remove many common stains.

In our plywood cleaning test, permanent marker was left on the surface for 25 days, then removed using cleaning chemical.
