About the Author:

Kate is of Ngati Parewaeono, Ngati Maniapoto, English and Greek descent.  She grew up roaming the bush and riding horses in Kaeo in the far north of Aotearoa.

She studied theatre in Melbourne, Australia at The John Bolton Theatre School and returned to co-found NZ’s Red Leap Theatre. Leaving Red Leap in 2015 she is currently working as a visual artist.  Living in West Auckland with her family she enjoys watching wildlife, being near the forest and the sea and finding ways to support the planet. One seedling at a time.
